upon a referral from a Nurse Practitioner

KixCare’s new service, Kix360°, offers 24/7 access to Pediatric Registered Nurses. Our KixNurses are supported by a team of specialized Nurse Practitioners who can diagnose, prescribe, and make referrals to Pediatricians and Allied Health Professionals.

Absolutely amazing experience! Same day appointment. The Dr was super patient, kind and helpful. Our daughter wasn't feeling well and we kept trying to call to book an appointment with her pediatrician, thank goodness for KixCare! So glad we found this place.

I had a great experience with KixCare and Dr. Kadar. My son was ill and needed to see a healthcare professional ASAP but his pediatrician didn't have any appointments available until weeks later, even though it was an emergency. I tried KixCare and got an appointment the same day. Dr. Kadar was very knowledgeable and informative and gave me plenty of opportunities to express my concerns and ask questions. We will definitely be using this service again, highly recommend!

What an excellent experience! We were able to get an appointment very quickly. From start to finish, I was impressed with the communication and reminders for our appointment. Dr. Sadana was absolutely lovely and is so professional. He took his time with us and I really appreciate that. I wish we were in the Ottawa area because I would love to have him as our pediatrician. I'm so glad you offer such a wonderful service and have already recommended KixCare to other moms. Thank you so much.

Such a wonderful program to have access to! It was easy to make an appointment, followed up with text & email confirmation and reminders. We even had someone call us to ensure we received the link to our virtual appointment and that we were not experiencing any technical issues. Dr. Fahad Masud (a pediatrician at CHEO) was on time, very friendly, and really took the time to understand our concerns and provide a thorough treatment plan. I couldn't be happier!

KixCare deserves all the praise. They have been instrumental in having my toddler seen by a professional and courteous pediatrician in a timely manner twice now. They have come in so handy at a time when my daughter’s own pediatrician couldn’t see her quickly enough, and have saved us a couple unnecessary visits to the emergency room. Love KixCare and our family is very grateful to this team!

How does KixCare work?

Virtual care, sometimes called telehealth or telemedicine, is an emerging method for increasing public access to healthcare and is supported by the provincial and federal government throughout Canada. Virtual care includes healthcare delivery through audio, video, or text communications, removing many traditional barriers to healthcare.

Click “Book Urgent Care” to re-direct to our patient portal. Appointments may be booked 24/7, but availability may vary depending on our operating hours.

For 24/7 access to pediatric healthcare professionals, subscribe to Kix360° for just $29/month. Message, call, or video chat with your KixCare Nurse anytime you need them. Sign up for Kix360°.

KixCare pediatric doctors, nurses, and nurse practitioners strive to accept appointments within the same day, and as soon as within 30 minutes of booking. Appointments can be made up to 7 days before the requested time.

Doctor visits are completely free for patients with a valid health card. We are currently serving Ontario and Quebec and will soon grow to serve other provinces and territories.

If your child is being seen for a medical issue requiring in-person care or a follow-up, your doctor will be able to refer you to the most appropriate option.

KixCare is designed for every Canadian family, so all web forms and Urgent Virtual Care visits are available in English and French. We are working to confirm the ability of our providers to practice in other languages – stay tuned!

Kix360° is currently available only in English.

After choosing the reason for your visit, you can select which type of provider you would like to see from the list of appropriate providers. Although you can’t choose your specific provider at this time, all providers will be able to book follow-up appointments when continuous care is needed. Your attending doctors will also always have your record on file. We want KixCare to feel like home, and our doctors will always go the extra mile to deliver care that’s personalized to your child.

If your child is being seen for a medical issue requiring in-person care or a follow-up, your nurse or doctor will be able to refer you to the most appropriate option.

If your child is being seen for a medical issue requiring a planned follow-up, your doctor will be able to book that appointment.

If something comes up and you want to book an unplanned follow-up, simply visit our booking portal and select “follow-up” as the appointment type.
