Jill Koskins completed her nursing degree, before starting work at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. She has since expanded her nursing practice into pediatrics, working in a general pediatric ward and the pediatric emergency department. Jill joined Kixcare for the wonderful flexibility it allows her to provide care to families and patients in a new and exciting setting.

Dr. Aviva Lowe is a pediatrician with an expertise in consulting pediatrics and breastfeeding medicine. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University and trained in pediatrics at SickKids in Toronto where she served as chief resident. She has been practicing pediatrics in the GTA since 2003, and through her varied consultation practices, she has cared for a diverse population of children, including many in underserved and at-risk segments of society.

Virginia Le received her BScN in 2021. Since graduating, she has worked on neurosurgical and orthopedic units at Toronto Western Hospital and Holland Bloorview Hospital Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, respectively. Prior to nursing, she worked with autistic children for four years. She joined KixCare to continue her work with children. In her spare time, she enjoys biking and spending time in nature.

Dr. Raven Dumont-Maurice is a proud mother of two. She is a member of the Algonquin nation of Kitigan Zibi, Quebec. She graduated McGill medicine in 2012 and completed her pediatric residency at McGill University in 2016. She currently resides in Montreal and practices community pediatrics on the island of Montreal as well as in Kanehsatà:ke. She is the UGME Campus Outaouais Quebec First Nations and Inuits’ Health Content Expert at McGill’s satellite campus in Gatineau.

Maria Mohareb began her nursing career at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation hospital where she spent time providing family-centred care for patients and families adapting to new and existing disabilities. She then transitioned to SickKids, where she worked with Orthopaedic and ENT patients, and gained experience and expertise with pain management, complex wound care, pre-operative, and post-operative care management. In 2022, she completed the Nurse Practitioner Program, earning a Masters in Nursing and Primary Health Care.

Dr. Michael Arsenault graduated medical school from the University of Ottawa before completing his pediatrics residency at the University of Sherbrooke and the University of Montreal. He then completed a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. He has been a full time pediatric emergency medicine physician since 1997 at Hôpital Ste-Justine, and was chief of emergency medicine from 2005-2010. He was also a member of the trauma medicine committee, and has been an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Montreal since 1997.

Leanne is a cognitive behavioural therapy counsellor with a private practice specializing in anxiety for children and adolescents. She is trained as a teacher and guidance counsellor, with a master’s from Toronto’s Institute of Child Study, OISE, and certificates in CBT from the Beck Institute in Philadelphia. Leanne is a mental health advocate who speaks regularly about anxiety in the classroom to parent and teacher groups. She founded an annual Mental Health Empowerment Day symposium to increase the understanding of parents and those who work with children and youth in community settings regarding mental health issues.

Dr. Harley Eisman completed medical school and general pediatric training at McGill University, before completing a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. He recently completed a 13-year tenure as director of pediatric emergency services at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, during which he consulted on design for the MUHC super hospital and was the MD responsible for coordinating the move of pediatric patients to the new facility. Since 2015 he has been the pediatric director of The Children’s Clinic, which offers general pediatric, specialty pediatric, and allied health consultation to the Greater Montreal Area.

Melissa is a registered speech-language pathologist and director of Speech and Language Associates of Toronto, Inc. (SLAT). She has over 15 years experience working with kids and their families to build a love of communication, and specializes in receptive and expressive language, executive functioning skills, and behavioural modification. She has experience working with children with various learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and other developmental disabilities. Bilingual clients have the opportunity to be serviced by a bilingually certified therapist, for the most effective and goal directed therapy.

Dr. Stephanie Davenport graduated with honours from medical school at the University of Sydney before moving back to Canada to complete her pediatric residency at the University of Ottawa. She pursued additional training with a clinical fellowship in neonatology, before completing her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. She is a lecturer at the University of Ottawa, and her current interests for research and education include critically ill neonates, and burn and wound management.

Dr. Robin Baweja has over 10 years of medical experience. She attended the University of Toronto, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Science. She completed medical school at the American University of the Caribbean (AUC) in St. Maarten, and completed her pediatric residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. She then worked as a hospital-based physician at the Children’s National Medical Centre in Washington, D.C. for five years before transitioning to the Oshawa Care Clinic, where she has been for four years.

Dr. Dan Poenaru is a professor of pediatric surgery at McGill University and senior scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada. He has earned master’s degrees in health professions education and international development, and a doctorate in health strategy & management. He is a FRQS- and CIHR-funded investigator in patient-centred surgical care, head of the McGill CommiSur Lab, associate member of Mila (the Quebec AI Institute), director of the Jean-Martin Laberge Fellowship in Global Pediatric Surgery, and a founding member of the Global Initiative for Children’s Surgery (GICS).

Laura is an osteopath (D.O.) and certified athletic therapist (CAT(C)) with over 30 years of clinical experience working with concussion patients. She is part-time faculty within the Department of Exercise Science at Concordia University where she has taught for more than 25 years. Laura completed her osteopathic thesis dissertation on “the effect of osteopathic treatment in the multiple sequelae of symptoms of post-concussion syndrome”, emphasizing the importance of a sound clinical approach to assessing and treating post-concussion syndrome and head trauma.

Dr. Arielle Levy is a pediatric emergency physician working at the Sainte-Justine Hospital University Centre’s pediatric emergency department. She is an associate professor at the faculty of medicine of the University of Montreal. She completed a master's degree in medical education at University of Cincinnati with a focus in medical simulation. She has been the academic medical co-director at the Sainte-Justine hospital-based simulation centre since 2012 and is actively involved as a simulation educator and facilitator for pre-graduate, graduate, and post-graduate training.

Niema is a Registered Nurse practicing for more than 14 years. She mainly works in pediatric acute care on the inpatient units at SickKids and the Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic at Oak Valley Health. Niema loves getting to know her patients and taking part in their development and health. She is a proud mom of two, and is always looking to build positive core memories and find ways to give back. She enjoys reading and finding new places to travel and explore with her family.

Madison Yakimishyn received her nursing degree, before starting her career working on a general surgery unit. Shortly after she transitioned to working in pediatrics in hematology/oncology. She enjoys helping families and kids by providing nursing care and education. Madison joined KixCare to help provide accessible resources to families within the community. Dr Samantha Dankoff completed medical school and residency at McGill followed by a
fellowship in pediatric emergency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She previously worked as a pediatric emergency physician at CHEO in Ottawa, Ontario. She currently works as a pediatrician at the CIUSSS-Ouest-de-l’ile in Montreal. She otherwise loves spending time with her family, chasing her two young kids around, biking, running, hiking.

Tammy Cooper is a Registered Dietitian with a private nutritional consulting practice after completing a rewarding career at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). She has twenty years of pediatric experience with a specialization in juvenile diabetes and was involved in Diabetes research. Her personal values and commitment to a healthy, active lifestyle supports an empathetic and therapeutic approach to nutritional wellness. Tammy has worked in Diabetes/Endocrinology, Immune Deficiency, Nephrology, Spina Bifida and Outpatient Nutrition Clinic, offering therapeutic nutrition support for clients aged 0-18 years.

Dr. Pamela Mitelman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Montreal, Canada. She treats children of all ages with sleep difficulties.
